Mould and Moisture Assessment

If you are concerned about mould or moisture in your home we can help.  

A Mould and Moisture Assessment involves:

• a Client Questionnaire which will be sent to you for completion at least 48 hours before the inspection.

• researching the surrounding area.

• on arrival I will spend about 40 minutes reviewing the Client Questionnaire with you.

• an onsite assessment, I will spend 3-5 hours completing the following:

  • an internal and external visual inspection using moisture meters, a infrared camera and hygrometer. 

  • moisture mapping of building materials to assist in determining sources of problematic moisture.

  • identifying ventilation issues.

  • laboratory testing to assist in determining mould load/burden and the species of mould present. Please note: Lab test analysis cost $121.00 (including GST) per sample and an average home would require 5 and 10 samples.

Prices for this testing vary depending on the size of the home.  As a guide a standard 3 bedroom home with one main living area and one bathroom would likely cost $825.00 (including GST) plus sampling. A travel fee may also be charged depending on your location. Please contact us for a accurate quote for your home.

A $220.00 deposit will be required at least 48 hours prior to the Assessment together with a completed Client Questionnaire.

Once the lab results are received I will prepare a Preliminary Report with my  findings and recommendations.

Please note this a Preliminary Report, if you require a more comprehensive report for legal or insurance purpose please advise and we can quote you in this regard.

Once you have received the Preliminary Report I will arrange a follow up phone call to answer any further questions that you may have.
